SEEK HIS GLORY (PART 1), August 2nd, 2026

HYMM: “When I survey the wondrous cross…” CENTRAL THOUGHTMan was created to glorify God. TEXT: PSALM 8:1-9, JOHN 7:18INTRODUCTION:The Almighty God, who made the heavens and the earth is a glorious God. When He finished creating the heavens and the earth (including animals and plants both in the seas and on the land), He proceeded to create man in His own image and likeness to have dominion over all other creatures that were created. God said unto the man “Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:28). Thus, man was exalted over all other creatures on earth. He also had the privilege of fellowshipping with God and naming all that were created (Genesis 3:8, 2:20), as an intelligent being.Unfortunately, man could not keep this exalted (glorious) position as he disobeyed God and thus fell from His grace. This fall of man resulted in the break of communication and fellowship with his Creator, diseases, sickness, poverty and even the fear of other creatures he was supposed to subdue and rule. However, God remained unshaken in His desire for man to...

Hymn: “ HOLY, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty”. CENTRAL THOUGHTGod inhabits the praises of His people. TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 20:1-24; PSALM 149:1-9 INTRODUCTION:Praises and Worship are the main activities in the kingdom of God. It is the eternal duty of the Angels and other hosts of Heaven to render praises to God continually, Revelation 4:8, 5:9-13. When genuine praises are offered to God by Men, a common platform is provided for Heaven and Earth to relate cordially. The true nature and power of Heaven is brought to bear on Earth through praises to God.Much of the power of godliness in the lives of believers comes from making God our chief joy. Our faith in Christ is made clear and manifest by our level of thankful rejoicing in Him. Praise, therefore, is of cardinal centrality in our Christian race. By it we give glory to God for the triumphs already received, and through it we receive further recompense for being truly thankful to God.In this study, we shall examine the various scriptural basis for praising God and the numerous benefits that follow. The objectives of this study are: To explain the meaning of praises in the context of theChristian faith. To explain why we should praise God. To list the...

PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER, July 19th, 2026

CENTRAL THOUGHT To live victoriously and enjoy a fulfilled Christian life, the believer must persevere in prayers. Hymn: “WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS” TEXT: 1 KINGS 18: 41-46; LUKE 18:1-8. INTRODUCTION:Prayer is very vital and indispensable in the life of every believer. It is essentially a means of communing with God, and without prayer, the believer cannot live a successful and fulfilled Christian life. It must be emphasized that we cannot run the Christian race successfully without being men and women of prayer. Hence, we must persevere in prayer. To persevere therefore in prayer, we must constantly be in direct communication with God at all times, in all places, in all circumstances and in all situations. No wonder the Apostle Paul enjoins believers to pray without ceasing. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was a man of prayers and during His ministry here on earth, He persevered in prayer. We should follow His example. LESSON OBJECTIVES To understand what perseverance in prayer means. To discuss some characters in scriptures that persevered in prayers. To discuss what our attitude should be while waiting for God’s answer. To discuss the blessings that result from perseverance in prayer. BIBLE TRUTH: QUESTION 1A) WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND BY PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER?...

CENTRAL THOUGHTGod’s presence creates awe and brings with it joy, comfort and security to the believer. TEXT: 1 CHRON. 16:27-33; PSALMS 139:7-13 INTRODUCTION: God’s presence is sheer delight to every believer; it is in sharp contrast to the violence, greed, wickedness, pain, suffering, and insecurity that are all about us. The comfort and guidance that come with God’s presence have been the experience of many notable individuals in the Bible and of our contemporary world. For Moses, it gave rise to a radiance that beamed from his face after he had spent time in the presence of the Lord on Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:29- 32), and when, because of the sin of Israel, God’s presence was to be replaced with that of an Angel, Moses was most displeased, Exodus 33. The Psalms reflect a man who had been in the presence of the Lord. These experiences show that God’s presence is not environment based but comes from a walk with Him. The Lord’s presence is a delight to those who have committed their lives to Christ. Besides the comfort and security that the presence of the Lord gives believers, the consciousness of His presence steadies one’s walk with the Lord in upholding integrity and truthfulness at home, in business,...

Mount Zion Gospel Tabernacle International Invites you to join us as we begin our annual month of July Prayer and Fasting. July 1st-31st, fasting from 6am-6pm (or as directed by the Holy Spirit).  This Months theme is, “WARRING AGAINST SPIRITUAL REALMS OF PERSIA’S HINDERING PRAYERS.” Our scriptural references are taken from,  DANIEL 10: 13-14, “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” DANIEL 10: 15-19, “And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me,...
